Two types of pullers can be used to make fine glass needles from glass capillaries.
1. Set a glass capillary in the puller.
2. Turn on the switch and start heating.
3. A fine glass needle is produced from the capillary.
By changing the heating level and the degree of tension, you can produce needles with different shapes. The heating and tension conditions should be optimized depending on your needs, referring the manuals by manufacturers. In this movie, the protectors are removed for clear view of the heated capillaries. Normally, the protector must be equipped correctly according to the manufacture’s instruction.
