Movie 7-1c. Preparation of eggs for microinjection

Long attaching filaments should be removed before microinjection. There are several methods for removing the attaching filament (see M3-3a, b, c, and d) and microscopic view of the spooling method is shown here.
1 . Hold any two points of the attaching filament of the egg cluster with tweezers.
2 . Spool the attaching filaments and almost all the eggs will be isolated.
3 . Pull off the few remaining eggs from the clumped attaching filament using tweezers.
