Before microinjection, the attaching filament should be removed (M7-1c).
1. Orient the eggs so that the cytoplasm is faced to where the needle will be inserted (also see M7-1d).
2. Transfer the egg holder to the upright microscope. Before injection, the end of the needle should be opened (see M7-1e and M7-3).
3. Impale the injection needle and inject the loaded solution into the cytoplasm (see M7-1f).
